Thermage® is a non-invasive method that enables to contrast imperfections caused by tissue laxity without surgical incision.
Thermage® uses a new form of radiofrequency energy (6 megahertz) to transmit heat to the cutis. Through a flat square-shaped tip, which touches the areas to be treated, heat is spread into the deeper layers of the skin stimulating the activity of fibroblasts determining the synthesis of the new collagen and compacting of the present collagen.
The increase in the dermal density improves the skin’s aspect, counteracting the loss of skin tone and the classical “orange-peel effect".
Deep heat only affects the subcutaneous layers (5-20 mm), the superficial layer of the epidermis is continuously cooled minimising the perception of heat.
